The Self Storage Association runs a number of events targeted specifically at self storage operators and investors. These events are run at locations, both metropolitan and rural, across Australia and New Zealand.
Regional meetings allow self storage facility members to interact with industry suppliers and SSAA staff in a convivial setting. Typically dinner meetings, the evening includes an update from the SSAA about initiatives currently being undertaken for member benefit. A presentation from a supplier or speaker regarding industry trends and issues is also common.
The SSAA delivers industry specific training, of benefit to facility owners and managers. Sessions are full day in duration and cover key legal, operational and sales issues.
Planning is currently underway for the 2016 SSAA Convention which will be held at the Park Hyatt Melbourne. The event will be held over 2 and a half days on Tuesday 30th August - Thursday 1st Steptember.
A separate staff retreat was held in 2015 to cater for self storage staff. Due to the large number of attendees and great feedback we have received the SSAA believe that there is significant support for running Staff Retreats in the future.
