Liz Davies was one of the small group of self storage operators who met in Sydney in 1990 to form the Self Storage Association. She was elected onto the National Committee in the first year of the Association and was president in 1994.
Developing the first business plan for the Association which set the direction for growth and many of the fundamental principles of the Association that remain today.
She was instrumental in employing the first ever Executive Officer for the Association and established the regional structure of the Association in Queensland, South Australia and Perth. The many hours of volunteer work that Liz did in the early years of the Association set the groundwork to grow the SSAA into the professional organisation it is today.
She has attended absolutely every Self Storage Association Convention, including the inaugural meeting in Sydney and almost every regional meeting in South Australia.
Liz is always full of energy and enthusiasm, a positive influence on everyone around her. She is both liked and respected by all those that she has been involved with within the association and the industry.
