Having designed his first website at the age of 13 (back in the days of 28.8kbit/s modems, mind you), Andy has developed a keen interest in web & audio / visual technologies since he was old enough to reach the keyboard. Andy has been with Storman since 2006 and is now our Marketing & Training Manager. Whether your question is about Storman, email marketing, blogs, websites or Google, Andy is always happy to assist.
Darryl is a partner in Jackson Russell’s Business Law team. Darryl and his colleague Caroline Harris have been acting for the Association and a number of its members since 2014. Darryl’s areas of legal speciality are mergers and acquisitions, franchising, securities, and general corporate and commercial law.
Not many people can lay claim to being a Paralympic gold medallist and world champion while still being in their teenage years. Dylan, a dual sport athlete, has represented Australia on the international stage in both wheelchair basketball and wheelchair tennis since the age of 13. In 2008, at the age of 17, Dylan was a main contributor in the Australian wheelchair basketball teams. The Rollers won gold medal victory at the 2008 Paralympic games in Beijing, becoming the youngest ever wheelchair basketball gold medallist in history. At the 2016 Rio Paralympics Dylan won gold in both the singles and doubles tennis making him one of an elite few to have won Olympic gold in 2 different sports at 2 separate Olympics
Gillian Findlay is the Chief Operating Officer at SafetyCulture. She has worked in risk management for over fifteen years for top tier professional services, listed companies, government agencies and now within the technology industry. She is a Chartered Accountant and graduate member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Grant McNamee founded iBidOnStorage as a response to the perennial problem of all self-storage businesses — non-payment of fees by storers and storage units tied up with their goods. With two decades of industry experience working for the likes of Millers Self Storage and Storage King, Grant considers himself a true “student of the industry”, learning the ropes as a Storage Consultant and working his way through the ranks to a General Management position for one of the industry’s largest companies, overseeing the operations of over 140 locations across Australia and New Zealand. Grant’s vision is for iBidOnStorage to be the foremost online auction platform for the storage industry. He is confident that its development and growth will enable industry members to work together for the benefit of the industry as a whole.
Jason Keane has been involved in the self storage industry since the year 2000. His career started as a storage manager at Storage King, Scoresby Victoria.
In 2003 Jason become the Storage King national operations manager. In 2005 & 2006 Jason assisted Storage King in establishing the Storage King Brand in the UK. When Jason returned from the UK he resumed a role in operations and training in Australia. In 2011 Jason became general manager of Fry’s Self Storage a position that he held until the purchase of Sentinel Australasia in 2014. Jason's experience has seen sales steadily increase over the past three plus years, providing an excellent level of customer service, surrounding himself with dedicated key people.

Kevin is sales communication expert with a passion for helping salespeople win more business. For decades, Kevin thrived in the highly competitive music industry. As a successful event promoter, he launched a booking agency for entertainers, and the business grew to an international level specialising in cruise ships and 5 star hotels. Kevin is a recognised member of the Professional Speakers Association, and he conducts sales and profitability training for businesses and industry associations.
Michael has been in the Self Storage industry for 7 years. With a background in Electrical Engineering, Finance and Telecommunications, Michael has brought varied experience to innovate the Self Storage Industry. He wrote “RapidStor” – the world’s first online integrated move in procedure for storers that uses SiteLink’s API, used by leading Self Storage companies and the AccessEzy iOS app, a world first for Self Storage access control. Michael is responsible for the development and strategic direction of many Self Storage websites. As General Manager of the Centreforce Technology Group, he is responsible for the day to day running of the group. Michael is also the Chief Financial Officer of a US based property investment firm.
Rob Baird joined Ezidebit in 2007 as General Manager of Sales & Marketing and became Sales Director in 2011. With a decade of payments experience Rob has helped many business and industries improve their financial performance through the application of the right payment technologies, processes and products. Acquired by Global Payments Inc, Ezidebit is the largest non-bank provider of payments services in Australia and New Zealand , processing over $6 billion annually for over 20,000 businesses and 1.5 one million customers. As a member of the SSAA Ezidebit has a good appreciation of the challenges faced by members.
Simone Hill is Australasia’s pre-eminent legal expert in contractual matters concerning self storage. A valuable member of the SSAA team Simone has been involved in the Self Storage industry for over 20 years. She has helped literally hundreds of SSAA members in dealing with interesting legal predicaments that arise when operating a self storage business, and is also a regular contributor to the Inside magazine. Simone often presents at SSAA conventions and Summits and as a lawyer who speaks plain English you can understand, she is always highly regarded.
Susan Phillips is the Chief Executive Officer of the Self Storage Association of Australasia based in Melbourne with her entry to self storage commencing back in 2005 in Charters Towers, North Queensland where Susan built her first self storage facility.
Her interest in giving back to her community led to several roles within the Chamber of Commerce, the Townsville Hospital and Health Service Board, the Queensland Government Business Advisory Group and a board position with the Self Storage Association.
Susan is an intrepid traveller and that sense of adventure and self-confidence is already a common value of the SSAA and Susan hopes other members will support her ongoing development of education and training opportunities for industry participants. She is also keen to build the Association’s member base and drive the industry to even greater professionalism and engagement with its rapidly growing customer base.
