David has been involved in the Self Storage industry for 30 years.

Along with his wife Sheryl they built Able Self Storage in Adelaide in 1987.

In the year 2000 the business expanded with their first remote site at Victor Harbor of 76 units. This was followed by Goolwa in 2007, Encounter Bay in 2008 and then the Adelaide facility in 2016. A removals, packaging and box manufacturing company complement their business model.

David has always had a hands-on approach and has been heavily involved in the construction of his self storage centres. Over time he has witnessed several changes within the industry.

Sheryl and David have 3 adult children who have all stepped out into the world to do their own thing.

When there is time and an annual holiday Port Elliott provides a great escape. Spending time with family and friends is high on David’s priority list.

In his spare time David project manages housing community projects in Fiji. His tally to date totals seven, with more planned in the near future.
